Jesse is a skilled public affairs, communications, and political strategist with more than a decade of experience on the frontlines of the toughest campaign and public policy battles. He has designed and managed strategic communications efforts in nearly every state, working directly with governors, senators, congressional representatives, and business leaders to win elections and promote policy initiatives.
Jesse was the first person to lead the communications department for both the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the latter of which he was the youngest communications director in committee history. At both organizations, he managed teams of communicators to execute complex earned media plans, acted as chief spokesperson, and provided message and media relations guidance to governors, senators, and candidates for those respective offices.
Prior to founding Monadnock Strategies, Jesse transformed the RGA’s communications department with three new units within the team, including a unique in-house creative operation that improved the organization’s overall brand recognition and drastically enhanced the visibility of 28 Republican governors’ accomplishments through earned and social media. Working closely with campaign teams, he devised state-specific message strategies that led to Republican victories in Democrat-held Virginia and Nevada and the successful re-election of every incumbent Republican governor. Jesse previously guided U.S. Senate campaigns through a historically challenging political environment in 2020 with specifically tailored local messages that allowed Senate Republicans to win important races in Iowa, Maine, Montana, and North Carolina.
Jesse also served as National Press Secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Communications Director for U.S. Senator Richard Burr’s successful 2016 re-election campaign in North Carolina, and as a spokesman for Governor Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign. Additionally, Jesse worked in communications roles on other U.S. Senate campaigns, including Ambassador Scott Brown's 2014 campaign in New Hampshire.
A Massachusetts native, Jesse graduated from Stonehill College and resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and their three dogs.
